Renaissance Festival

We met up with Aunt Dusty and Hayzin at the festival this year and had so much fun. The girls always love seeing cousins. I go for the food (obviously). Ashton and Madison go for the little stores and to make fun of the people there and the babies went for the rides, Brandon goes because we make him. The picture of us on the giant wooden horse is showing real terror. That ride looks nice and mild but I will have nightmares about the first couple rocks for the rest of my life. Looking at the picture the girls get all excited but during the actual ride there were screams and frantic scrambling. Maddy and Ashton ditched us most the time but all in all it was a fun day. HAHA Dusty I posted first. (Don't forget to share pics and I will send you the ones I have)

Exciting Week

Saturday I took the older girls to the Teen Center's first Indie rock concert. Believe it or not we actually have a pretty famous band up here "Alaska and Me". Some bands from the valley also attended. Anyways, Ashton caused such a commotion that she got arrested. JK...But the look on her face when he first put those cuffs on was priceless.I asked him to mace her, so she got lucky. I attached a picture of the lead singer of the band "Sketching in Stereo", whom all the girls were drooling over. Madison also had her Choir Extravaganza this week, I included a clip of a song they did from the musical "Wicked". The Junior High Honor Choir got to perform it with our Showbiz Choir from the High School. Madison was upset that she did not get the solo but she did have a bad cough that thank goodness did not rear its ugly head during this song, but she hacked a lung up there during others.***Piper is almost potty trained****finally, she has been my hardest to train, just be thankful that I do not post her first poopy in the potty..Because I have it.

Lake Becker Wildlife Preserve

I am taking an anthropology class this session so we thought it would be fun to go the Native American ruins Casa Malpaise near our home. So after checking two different web sites to check if it was open on Sunday, we drove all the way there and saw that it was closed. DARN budget cuts. So we decided to hit the local mom and pop store and then went and hiked the Wildlife preserve right there in Springerville. Of course we saw no wildlife, but Ashton enjoyed showing us all the animal poop she could locate, we did see lots of beaver dams.
